The internal election process for the DBC’s executive directors has concluded.
The following directors will now act as the Bourse’s executive committee:
Bourse President:
Mr David Gavin (The Global Gem Group)
Bourse Vice-President:
Mr Allen Shechtman (The Martin Ross Group)
Bourse Secretary:
Mr Jeffrey Brenner (Rockwell Diamonds)
Bourse Treasurer:
Mr Sampat (Sam) Poddar (Byrex Gems Inc.)
The Bourse’s new board members and its new executives, will assume their responsibilities at the Bourse, effective immediately.

Government reaffirms its support to the DBC

The newly elected Board of Directors of the Diamond Bourse of Canada, conducted their first preliminary meeting yesterday (the 5th of July).
This meeting took place at the Bourse facility main conference room, and was attended by the newly elected Bourse directors, and Government representatives.
Following discussions and consultations with the Bourse's newly elected president Mr David Gavin, Government representatives reaffirmed their full and complete commitment to the Diamond Bourse of Canada and to its membership, and have made it clear that they will continue to provide direct and indirect support to the Bourse.
Needless to say, we at the Bourse fully appreciate the importance of this declaration of support and we look forward to continue our work as we strive to strengthen and enhance the foundations of Canada’s diamond industry.
